After clicking on Business Plan as a Word document, a file download dialog window will appear. You will have the option of saving the file or opening it. If you chose to save the file, replace the 'aspx' from the file name to 'doc'.

Fast4Cast uses just one template (or outline) for the text of a business plan and 20 different templates for the financial portions of the business plan. The financial templates are listed by industry below:

Each financial template uses different sales and expense accounts - called a "Chart of Accounts". Most of us are not accountants nor do we want to be. So we have already built the financial portions of the business plan. To get a better understanding go the the Chart of Accounts page.

If you write your business plan using the fast4cast application you'll find that the financial template you choose is integrated into the default text template. You can modify / edit either template at any time. The free application is designed so you spend most of your time on writing the text and only a small amount of time budgeting.
